Prayer Request - November 19, 2003

Good morning from Haiti!

We greet you this morning with hope for a better future for the children of Haiti! We currently do not have very many children at Grace Children's Hospital - we hope this is a sign of better health, but we are also aware it may be a result of the deteriorating economy which makes it more difficult for families to bring their children here.

I ask for your prayers this week for this little (very little!) one Ansdelie Jean-Baptiste. She came to us in early October, seriously malnourished and with several other problems. We have subsequently identified a chronic heart problem, and we also suspect she has Down's Syndrome. Her mother has since stopped visiting - most likely because she feels she cannot care for this little one with all these problems. Please keep this family in your prayers.
